The profile of the teeth has been completely reworked according to the principles of the Ultra-Drive project, allowing extremely fast response during shifting. The synchronisation, achieved by developing a specific position of the teeth of each pinion, allows a smooth and rapid change from one transmission to the other. And in order not to lose any of the stiffness, the last two sprockets are mounted on an aluminium frame.
