This ensures consistently high braking power even on steep descents. With the SHIMANO CENTER LOCK mounting system, the brake discs can be mounted quickly and easily thanks to the circlip design.

CENTER LOCK
The CENTER LOCK system of the brake disc with multi-tooth profile and circlip makes mounting easier. This system of mounting by means of a circlip allows for quick assembly and disassembly of the brake disc, thus saving service costs. In addition, the secure fit on the multi-tooth profile ensures greater precision and strength, increasing the effectiveness of the brake.

ICE TECHNOLOGIES
Fading, which can occur in the brake disc and pad when braking continuously on long descents, affects braking performance. SHIMANO has introduced ICE TECHNOLOGIES brake discs and ICE TECHNOLOGIES brake pads to provide cooling technology for consistently high braking performance. The brake disc with its 3-layer sandwich structure of stainless steel, aluminium and stainless steel offers better heat dissipation. In addition, the brake pads feature cooling fins. The design of the disc in combination with the cooling fins results in longer pad life, less brake noise, less fading and lower weight.
